The Rap-Metal Limp Bizkit (1994) is an American Band that famous in worldwide.Formed By Fred Durst (Lead Vocal) and his mate Sam Rivers (Bass). The label contracts came pouring in, and after signing with Flip/Interscope, Limp Bizkit released their debut album, Three Dollar Bill Y'All. By mid-1997-1998, Limp Bizkit had become one of the more hyped bands in the burgeoning rap-metal scene, helped as well by more touring action -- this time with Faith No More and later, Primus -- as well as an appearance on MTV's Spring Break '98 fashion show. The biggest break, however, was a spot on that summer's Family Values Tour, which greatly raised the group's profile.

Durst named the band Limp Bizkit, because he wanted a name that would repel listeners. According to Durst, "The name is there to turn people's heads away. A lot of people pick up the disc and go, 'Limp Bizkit. Oh, they must suck.' Those are the people that we don't even want listening to our music.”

The completed album featured an abrasive, angry sound which Limp Bizkit used to attract listeners to their music. After the band completed recording, they toured with Korn and Helmet. Critics reacted unfavorably to performances of Korn and Limp Bizkit; Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel music critic Jon M. Gilbertson criticized Durst's performance, stating "The one attention-grabbing moment of Limp Bizkit's rap/thrash show was when the lead singer expressed a desire for gay men to be 'stomped'. Which isn't remotely rebellious. It's just puerile."

After success of single “Faith”, the band was motivated to record the following album in order to show that they weren't a cover band.Limp Bizkit started write song with their styles and choose Terry Date as producer the album. The band allowed Durst and Lethal to explore their hip hop origins by recording a song with Method Man (Clifford Smith).

Someone that hate Nu-Metal said “I dislike Limp Bizkit mainly for the same reasons I dislike Papa Roach, Korn, POD, Staind, etc etc, basically the entire nu-metal genre. The music is just terrible. Limp Bizkit are hated more than the other bands mentioned though, for a few reasons. Firstly the name, it's almost funny, but just it edged over into trying too hard. Not good. Secondly the songs are even more juvenile, whiny, and boring than the rest of the genre, and lastly Fred Durst just comes across as a prick.”

At the same time, another reason people hate Limp Bizkit is due to the backlash towards the nu metal movement during the late 1990s to the early 2000s. With the exception of Rage Against The Machine that many metal fans love, not everyone can dig hip hop or rap fused with heavy metal, especially those who prefer a more traditional sound within the likes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, early Metallica, Megadeth and Black Sabbath. Since LB is seen as a band that does not fit this definition of metal, this would eventually spawn haters towards the band.
