Doctor Forbid Brian Johnson To Perform again

Brian Johnson

The future of AC/DC's current tour and, possibly, as a performing entity has been put into question as doctors have told Brian Johnson he must stop touring immediately.

While details are sketchy, it appears that Johnson's hearing has been damaged so severely by the constant loud barrage of sound that he is on the verge of total hearing loss. Doctor's say that he must stop immediately to preserve what remains.
Some have wondered if this is just for a short time or if it is a permanent injunction against touring and, from the AC/DC website, it appears it could be the latter. According to a press release "Tomorrow's show in Atlanta through Madison Square Garden in New York, NY in early April will be made up later in the year, likely with a guest vocalist."

The following shows have been, at least for the time being, just postponed until a replacement vocalist can be found.·         03/08 - Atlanta, GA - Philips Arena
·         03/11 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL - BB&T Center
·         03/14 - Greensboro, NC - Greensboro Coliseum
·         03/17 - Washington, DC - Verizon Center
·         03/20 - Detroit, MI - The Palace
·         03/23 - Columbus, OH - Nationwide Arena
·         03/26 - Cleveland, OH - Quicken Loans Arena
·         03/29 - Buffalo, NY - First Niagara Center
·         04/01 - Philadelphia, PA - Wells Fargo Center
·         04/04 - New York, NY - Madison Square Garden
Meanwhile, the notice of a "guest vocalist" is not sitting well with AC/DC fans who have posted messages such as:
Guys....I never thought I'd say NO to an AC/DC tour...but if Brian isn't singing...there isn't an AC/DC!!! It's been only Bon and Brian for 40 plus years now....you can't bring in a fill in like Steven Tyler or someone random and call it AC/DC.
No Brian, no AC/DC. Don't do it boys, don't become a slave to the record companies to cash in...you play when your band is ready.
First Malcolm leaves due to medical reasons. Now Brian has medical issues. Hate to be the one to say it, but it might be time for AC/DC to retire.
If Brian is that bad, it's time for the band to hang it up. No Malcolm, No Brian No AC/DC.
