The gorgeous gal told Billboard:
"I should be way more aware, and if it was [Clinton] or Trump, I'd definitely vote for her. But I've never voted and I don't have any desire to."
Since controversial candidate Donald Trump is actually in the running to become our next president, we aren't surprised that Miz Trainor got some serious sh*t for being so lax about voting!
However, the pop princess told Entertainment Tonight that the whole thing was one big misunderstanding!
While backstage at the Seattle stop on her Untouchable Tour, the sassy singer clarified her comments to the outlet, saying they were completely taken "out of context":
"I wanted to learn more about both parties and it's one of the biggest elections of all time. It's such a big deal and I figured it out, and I am ready. I'm ready to vote."
Well, that's a relief!
We're glad M-Train is actually going to cast her vote in November!
